Typical Applications:
Bulb, fuse, fluorecent lamp - Checks if working
Fault finding - Checks proper connection of wiring, checks conditions of heating elements.
Resistor; Coils; Winding - LED blinks and buzzer sounds when input impedance / resistivity is below 50M.
Capacitor - LED and buzzer comes ON and then goes OFF.
Diode; Rectifier - LED and/or buzzer comes ON in the forward bias direction only.
Transistor (NPN type) - LED and/or comes on at "C" and "E" with a finger touching "B".
Transistor (PNP type) - LED and/or comes on at "B" with a finger alternatively touching "C" and "E".
Proper Connection Check - Move the TIP close to the hair dryer with the power OFF.
Ground / Earthing Check - Move the TIP close to the toaster, electric kettle, dryer machine, microwave, oven etc. The buzzer comes ON if the ground/earthing is not connected in the wiring.
Locating Broken Wire - Trace along on the wire, buzzer goes OFF where the wire is broken.
Picks-Up Static Radiation of TV / Monitor - Buzzer sounds when too close to the TV. Also buzzer sounds near the Polarizing Filter of a monitor, when Ground/Earthing is not connected.
µW Microwave Leakage Detection - Check your microwave oven every week and cook with confidence.
